Destination Improvement Fee Project – Industry & Community Engagement (Details Coming Soon)

WTAY and its tourism association partners will be launching industry and community engagement sessions as part of Phase 1 of the Destination Improvement Fee (DIF) Project.

These sessions will provide opportunities for tourism operators, communities, Yukon First Nations, and stakeholders to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share perspectives as part of an industry-led exploration. Dates to be determined but coming late winter.

Engagement details, formats, and timelines will be announced once:

  • The engagement proponent is confirmed through the RFP process, and
  • A detailed engagement plan is finalized by the Tourism Partners Steering Committee.

At this stage:

  • No engagement dates have been set
  • No decisions have been made regarding a Destination Improvement Fee
  • This phase is focused on listening, learning, and information sharing
